Born Under Fire
- Passionate
- Decisive
- Courageous
- Dynamic
- Magnetic
- Visionary
Fire (화, hwa) is the most visible and immediate of the five elements — impossible to ignore, impossible to contain, and impossible to look away from. Those born under Fire carry this elemental quality everywhere they go: a warmth that draws people in, an intensity that commands attention, and a decisiveness that makes things happen when everyone else is still deliberating.
In the Korean 오행 (ohaeng) system, Fire governs the south, the height of summer, the peak of light and heat. Its color is red — the color of vitality, joy, and sacred energy. Red is everywhere in Korean culture: wedding ceremonies, new year celebrations, the flags and symbols of national life. Fire people carry this same energy: you are not decorative warmth but the real thing — a source that actually generates light and heat for the people around you.
Challenges
Fire burns hot and fast. The same intensity that makes you compelling can make you exhausting — to yourself and to others. You can be impatient with slower thinkers, blunt to the point of wounding, and prone to burning so bright in every direction at once that nothing sustainable gets built. The task for a Fire person is learning to sustain: to provide steady warmth rather than a spectacular blaze that leaves only ash.
Fire in Combination
A Fire Dragon is perhaps the most commanding personality in the entire system — visionary, magnetic, and near-unstoppable when committed to a goal. A Fire Tiger becomes even more courageous and decisive than the Tiger alone suggests, occasionally to the point of recklessness.
Finding Your Element
Your element is determined by the last digit of your birth year. If your year ends in 6 or 7, you are Fire. Combine this with your animal sign to understand how your element shapes your character within the Korean 띠 system.
